tg2drive

A private, single-user automation. Not a public service.

tg2drive is a small program run by its owner for personal use. It copies files that the owner forwards to their own Telegram Saved Messages into a folder in the owner's own Google Drive. There is no sign-up, nothing to install and no way for anyone else to use it.

How it works

• It watches the owner's Telegram Saved Messages for new files (documents, videos and audio files).
• Each file is streamed from Telegram, through the program's memory, straight into a Google Drive upload. File contents are never written to the server's disk.
• After the upload, the copy in Google Drive is checked against the original (size and checksum) before it is reported as complete.
• A short status reply is posted in the owner's Saved Messages.

What it does not do

• It does not read, change or delete any Google Drive files other than the ones it creates itself.
• It does not store, publish or share file contents with anyone.
• It has no public interface: no accounts, no API and no dashboard.
